Deactivating a License

What This Does

Deactivating a license removes it from your current site.

This frees up the license so it can be used on another site.

When to Deactivate a License

You may need to deactivate your license when:

  • migrating your site to a new domain or server
  • no longer using SteelWP on a site
  • reassigning the license to a different site

How to Deactivate a License

  1. Navigate to the SteelWP plugin in your WordPress admin
  2. Locate the license or activation section
  3. Click the deactivate option
  4. Confirm the action if prompted

What Happens After Deactivation

After deactivating your license:

  • Pro features will be disabled on this site
  • the license will become available for use elsewhere
  • your site will continue to function with free features

How to Confirm Deactivation

You can confirm deactivation by:

  • seeing a confirmation message in the plugin
  • observing that Pro features are no longer active
  • verifying that the license is no longer assigned to the site
