Each SteelWP license allows activation on a limited number of sites.
This limit defines how many sites can use Pro features at the same time.
How License Limits Work
Your license includes a maximum number of active sites.
- each activated site uses one license slot
- the total number of active sites cannot exceed your limit
- limits vary depending on your license type
What Happens When You Reach the Limit
If your license limit is reached:
- you will not be able to activate the license on additional sites
- activation attempts may fail or be rejected
- existing active sites will continue to function normally
How to Free Up License Slots
To use your license on a new site:
- deactivate the license on an existing site
- confirm the slot is freed
- activate the license on the new site
Reassigning Licenses
Licenses can be reassigned between sites.
This is useful when:
- migrating to a new domain or server
- replacing or rebuilding a site
- managing multiple environments
Viewing License Usage
You can view your current usage in your account portal:
- see how many sites are active
- identify which sites are using your license
- monitor available capacity
